এস এম আবু সায়ীদ (১ জানুয়ারি ১৯৩৭-২৮ আগস্ট ২০১৭) বাংলাদেশের নড়াইল জেলার রাজনীতিবিদ, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ও নড়াইল-১ আসনের সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য।[১][২]

জন্ম ও প্রাথমিক জীবন

এস এম আবু সায়ীদ ১ জানুয়ারি ১৯৩৭ সালে নড়াইল জেলার কালিয়া উপজেলার বারইপাড়া গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি নিঃসন্তান ছিলেন।

রাজনৈতিক ও কর্মজীবন

এসএম আবু সায়ীদ খুলনা দৌলতপুর দিবা নৈশ লেজের ও শহীদ আব্দুস সালাম ডিগ্রি কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ ছিলেন। তিনি মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ছিলেন। তিনি ১৯৮৪ সালে আওয়ামী লীগ ছেড়ে জাতীয় পার্টিতে যোগ দিয়ে প্রথমে কালিয়া উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান ও পরে নড়াইল জেলা জেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান ছিলেন।[৩] তিনি ১৯৮৬ সালের তৃতীয় ও ১৯৮৮ সালের চতুর্থ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে জাতীয় পার্টির মনোনয়নে নড়াইল-১ আসন থেকে সংসদ সদস্য নির্বাচিত হয়েছিলেন।[১][২] ১৯৯৬ সালে তিনি পুনরায় আওয়ামী লীগে যোগ দিয়ে নড়াইল জেলা কৃষকলীগের সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হন।[৪]

মৃত্যু

এসএম আবু সায়ীদ ২৮ আগস্ট ২০১৭ হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে নড়াইল সদর হাসপাতালে মৃত্যুবরণ করেন।[৫]
