Маргарыта Байс (8 верасня 1815, Фрыбур, Швейцарыя — 27 чэрвеня 1879, Фрыбур) — швейцарская свецкая верніца-містык, каталіцкая святая.

Біяграфія

Належала да Трэцяга ордэну св. Францішка Асізскага, спалучала працу швачкі з духоўным жыццём і служэннем у парафіі, навучала дзяцей катэхізісу, дапамагала ўбогім, наведвала хворых і паміраючых: свой асабісты шлях святасці яна бачыла не ў манастве, а ў свеце.

8 снежня 1854 года, калі папа Пій IX абвясціў догмат аб Беззаганным Зачацці Найсвяцейшай Дзевы Марыі, Маргарыта Байс атрымала аздараўленне ад раку і ў той жа дзень атрымала стыгматы, містычнае паходжанне якіх было пацверджана ўрачамі і Касцёлам.

Маргарыта памерла ва ўрачыстасць Найсвяцейшага Сэрца Пана Езуса ва ўзросце 63 гадоў. Пасля яе смерці Ватыкан прызнаў цуд, які прыпісваецца яе заступніцтву, калі двухгадовае дзіця было цалкам выратавана пасля таго, як яго пераехаў трактар вагой 816 кг. Яна была беатыфікавана Янам Паўлам II у 1995 годзе.

13 кастрычніка 2019 года папа Францішак абвясціць яе святой[6].
