Сельва (ісп.: selva ад лац.: silva — лес) — геаграфічны тэрмін, які ўжываецца для пазначэння вільготных трапічных лясоў (джунгляў) у Паўднёвай Амерыцы пераважна ў басейне ракі Амазонка.

Сельва ўтвараецца на шырокіх нізінных участках сушы ва ўмовах сталага прэснаводнага ўвільгатнення, з той прычыны, што глеба сельвы вельмі бедная на мінеральныя рэчывы, вымываемыя трапічнымі дажджамі. У сельве часта назіраецца моцная забалочанасць. Раслінны і жывёльны свет адрозніваецца буйствам фарбаў і разнастайнасцю відаў раслін, птушак і сысуноў.

Амазонская сельва — самы буйны ў свеце трапічны лес. Яна размешчана на шырокай, амаль плоскай раўніне, якая ахоплівае амаль увесь басейн ракі Амазонка. Межы сельвы выразна акрэслены ўсходнім падножжам Андаў, а таксама схіламі Бразільскага і Гвіянскага нагор'яў. Грандыёзны масіў займае 5,5 мільёна квадратных кіламетраў — палову агульнай плошчы такіх лясоў на планеце. Яна знаходзіцца на тэрыторыі дзевяці дзяржаў — Бразіліі (найвялікшы кавалак), Перу, Калумбіі, Венесуэлы, Эквадора, Балівіі, Гаяны, Сурынама, Французскай Гвіяны[1].
