Нікель — пасёлак гарадскога тыпу, адміністрацыйны цэнтр Печангскага раёна Мурманскай вобласці Расіі. Уваходзіць у гарадское паселішча Нікель і з’яўляецца яго цэнтрам.

Пасёлак размешчаны на левым беразе ракі Калас’ёкі, на ўсход ад возера Куэтс’ярві, за 123 км на паўночны захад ад Мурманска. Бліжэйшыя населеныя пункты — Сальміярві (4 км) і Запалярны (23 км).

Гісторыя

Будаўніцтва Нікеля пачалося ў 1935 годзе, калі гэтая тэрыторыя належала Фінляндыі. Сваю назву пасёлак атрымаў ад аднайменнага элемента табліцы Мендзялеева. Камбінат быў заснаваны ў 1930-х гадах фінскай кампаніяй «Петсамон Нікелі».

Падчас Другой сусветнай вайны вытворчыя будынкі камбіната былі практычна разбураныя.

У 1944 годзе пачалося аднаўленне вытворчасці, першае плаўленне было зроблена ў 1946 годзе. Статус рабочага пасёлка прысвоены указам Прэзідыума Вярхоўнага Савета РСФСР ад 27 лістапада 1945 года.
