En Nomenclatura filoxenética, les lámidas (Lamiidae) son un grupu d'eudicotiledóneas que fueren nomaes informalmente como «euastéridas I».^[3][4] El nome «Lamiidae» foi usáu per primer vegada pol botánicu soviéticu Armén Tajtadzhián en 1987 pa denominar a un grupu que difier en circunscripción en dellos detalles.^[1] Tajtadzhián incluyó una descripción de les lámidas en rusu,^[5] pero'l nome nun foi correutamente validáu hasta que'l taxónomo estauxunidense James Lauritz Reveal aproviera en 1993 una descripción en llatín pa esti grupu.^[6] El nome Lamiidae foi acomuñáu formalmente a esti clado en Olmstead y collaboradores en 1992, nun trabayu nel que s'afirmaba «qu'esti clado correspuende a la subclase Lamiidae de Takhtajan...».^[7] Amás el nome «lámidas» foi usáu informalmente en dellos trabayos de filoxenia de les anxiospermes.^[8][9]

El clado, según foi circunscripto en APG III, abarca cuatro órdenes (Garryales, Gentianales, Lamiales, Solanales) y cinco families qu'inda nun fueron incluyíes en nengún orde (Boraginaceae, Vahliaceae, Icacinaceae, Metteniusaceae, Oncothecaceae).^[10][1][11]

La sinapomorfia más evidente de les lámidas ye la presencia de vasos del xilema con perforaciones simples.^[12]
