He nach volget das Puch der Natur ("Llibru de la Naturaleza"),[1] foi escritu pol eruditu, naturalista xermanu católicu romanu, y un escritor versátil; Konrad von Megenberg, en (llatín: Conradus Megenbergensis, o Conradus de Montepuellarum) (1309–1374) y sigue siendo d'importancia pa la historia de la cultura. Según la so propia declaración escribir en 1349. La obra en llatín De naturis rerum, del dominicu Tomás de Cantimpré (1263), sirvió de modelu. Konrad, sicasí, preparó'l so llibru con gran llibertá. Gran parte de la obra orixinal foi omitida, y fixo les sos propies observaciones, introduciendo correiciones. La so obra ufierta un panorama de tolo que yera conocíu de la historia natural nesi momentu y ye, amás, la primer obra en idioma alemán. Foi bien lleida hasta'l sieglu XVI y esisten numberoses copies manuscrites, unos dieciocho en Múnich. La primer edición impresa ye de 1475, editada en Augsburgu, na tienda de Hans BŠmler, sol títulu "Buch der Natur".[2] Foi impresu a lo menos seis veces enantes de 1500. Dalgunes d'eses ediciones incunables taben ilustraes. Una nueva edición del testu orixinal foi impresa por Franz Pfeiffer (Stuttgart, 1861), con una introducción. Una edición n'alemán modernu foi impresa por H. Schulz (Greifswald, 1897).
