Daniel Mark Tomlinson is a British Labour Party politician who has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Chipping Barnet since 2024.[1] He defeated the Conservative Party incumbent Theresa Villiers.[2]

Early life

Tomlinson was educated at Wood Green School in Witney, Oxfordshire, and studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.[3] Tomlinson worked for HM Treasury and for the Resolution Foundation between 2015 and 2022, and became a senior economist for the foundation.[4] He also worked at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.[5]

Political career

Inside Housing listed Tomlinson as one of eight newly elected MPs who would be advocates for the cause of social housing in the new Labour government.[5]
