Bolor Ganbold (Mongolian: Ганболд Болор; born 1976) is a Mongolian general. One of the first female recruits into the Mongolian Armed Forces, in 2022 she became the first woman in Mongolian history to be conferred the rank of brigadier general.
Early life and training
Bolor was raised in Ulaanbaatar, where she graduated from High School No. 33 in 1994.[1] She was a member of the first cohort of female recruits admitted into the Military University of Mongolia (now the National Defence University), shortly after it began to accept women in 1994.[2][3] Bolor graduated from the institution in 1999.[1]
Following her graduation in 1999, Bolor worked as an electrical engineer within the Mongolian Armed Forces. Between 2003 and 2007, she worked as a teacher of new recruits, and between 2007 and 2010 was the head of the Foreign Language Training Centre.[5]
