نشرت شركة ليرين الكتاب في أغسطس 2016 في المملكة المتحدة، وهي شركة تابعة لهودر وستوكتون (بصمة هاشيت). [4] صدرت النسخة الأمريكية [5] في أكتوبر 2016 ونشرتها دار نشر أخرى تابعة لشركة هاشيت في المملكة المتحدة، وهي دار نشر نيكولاس بريلي. نُشرت النسخة ذات الغلاف الورقي [6] في المملكة المتحدة في مايو 2017، مع صدور طبعة أمريكية في أواخر عام 2017. يحتوي الكتاب على مقدمة كتبها مارشال جولدسميث. وقد ظهر في قوائم القراءة المختلفة المقترحة في وسائل الإعلام الرئيسية.
