Twinjet

Twinjet atau pesawat jet bermesin ganda (twin jet) adalah pesawat jet didukung oleh dua mesin. Konfigurasi pesawat terbang adalah yang paling populer untuk pesawat komersial, pesawat tempur, dan berbagai jenis lainnya, karena menawarkan keselamatan dari kegagalan mesin tunggal, juga hemat bahan bakar.

Pada hari ini, ada tiga konfigurasi yang paling umum dari jenis pesawat terbang. Satu memiliki mesin yang dipasang di bawah setiap sayap, dan satu lagi memiliki satu mesin yang dipasang di setiap sisi belakang badan pesawat, dekat dengan empennage nya. Dalam konfigurasi ketiga, kedua mesin jet berada dalam pesawat, side-by-side.
