Irjen. Pol. (Purn.) Drs. Syarief Gunawan, S.H.[1] (lahir 8 Maret 1957) adalah seorang perwira tinggi Polri yang pernah mengemban amanat sebagai Sahlisosbud Kapolri pengganti Irjen Pol Eddi Sumantri.

Syarief, lulusan Akpol 1982 ini berpengalaman dalam bidang brimob. Jabatan terakhir jenderal bintang dua ini adalah Kepala Kepolisian Daerah Sumatera Utara.
