Soumar (peluru kendali jelajah)


Soumar (Persia: سومار) adalah rudal jelajah jarak jauh Iran. Rudal itu dinamai untuk kehormatan sebuah desa bernama Soumar, yang penduduknya semua tewas ketika rezim Saddam Hussein menyerang desa dengan senjata kimia.

Sangat mungkin bahwa rudal tersebut berasal dari Kh-55 Rusia/Soviet, beberapa di antaranya dijual secara ilegal ke Iran oleh Ukraina pada tahun 2001.[1][2][3][4] Because of the similarities media have speculated its range as between 2000 and 3000 km.[5][6][7]
