Politeknik Industri Logam Morowali yang disingkat PILM adalah sebuah perguruan tinggi berbentuk politeknik di Kabupaten Morowali, Sulawesi Tengah. Kampus ini dikelola oleh Kementerian Perindustrian Republik Indonesia yang bertujuan membentuk tenaga kerja industri logam yang kompeten untuk mengolah potensi nikel yang banyak ditemukan di Morowali dan kawasan lain di Indonesia timur.

Sejarah

Pendirian kampus ini dimulai dengan penyiapan dokumen oleh Pusat Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Industri Kementerian Perindustrian yang kemudian diajukan ke Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi. Penyediaan lahan seluas ± 30 Ha dilakukan oleh PT. IMIP (Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park), serta penyiapan bangunan fisik dan peralatan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pengembangan Perwilayahan Industri, Kementerian Perindustrian. Pada tahun 2015, mulai dilaksanakan pembangunan gedung perkuliahan, laboratorium dan bengkel kerja, serta gedung administrasi dan manajemen.

Pada tanggal 31 Agustus 2016, terbit Surat Keputusan dari Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi No. 303/KPT/I/2016, tentang pendirian Politeknik Industri Logam Morowali. Kemudian, pada tanggal 23 Desember 2016, terbit Permenperin No. 81/M- IND/PER/12/2016 tentang Organisasi dan Tata Kerja. Untuk mengawali kegiatannya, Politeknik Industri Logam Morowali melakukan seleksi penerimaan dosen, PLP/teknisi, dan staf administrasi. Penerimaan mahasiswa baru dilaksanakan untuk tahun akademik 2017.[1]

  • Teknik Listrik dan Instalasi
