Nepenthes hirsuta adalah spesies kantong semar endemik dari Kalimantan. Spesies ini bisa ditemukan di bagian barat dan utara Kalimantan, yang berarti termasuk ke dalam wilayah Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Brunei.[1][3]

Morfologi

Daun N. hirsuta memiliki bentukan lonjong atau bulat. Trikoma (bulu pada kulit tumbuhan) pada daun N. hirsuta terdapat pada di permukaan bawah dan atasnya. Tepi daunnya yang rata juga dilapisi bulu. Warna dari permukaan bawah daunnya berwarna coklat. Batangnya berbulu, licin, berpenampang bulat, serta berwarna hijau muda-coklat tua. Selain batang dan daunnya, hampir semua bangian tumbuhan dilapisi oleh bulu-bulu coklat yang halus.[4][5] Bulu-bulu tersebut memiliki kisaran panjang 1–2 mm.[6]

Kantong atasnya memiliki bentuk tabung dan berwarna kuning, sementara kantong bawahnya memiliki bentuk oval dan bersayap dua. Warna kantong bawahnya putih dengan belang kuning. Penutup kantong dari tumbuhan ini berbentuk oval atau jantung. Sementara itu, taji pada kantong tumbuhan ini tidak bercabang.[5]

Bunganya memiliki bentuk tandan dan panjang maksimal 25 cm. Perbungaan jantan dan betinanya hampir sama, tetapi bunga jantan lebih panjang. Daun kelopaknya memiliki panjang maksimal 4 mm.[5]

Sitologi

N. hirsuta hanya memiliki stomata pada bagian bawah daun, sehingga daunnya bersifat epistomatik.[5] Dibanding dengan N. negleta, N. bicalcarata, N. veitchii, dan N. clipeata, N. hirsuta memiliki ukuran dan kepadatan stomata yang lebih kecil.[7]

Anatomi

N. hirsuta memiliki jaringan palisade yang lebih panjang bila dibandingkan dengan N. negleta, N. bicalcarata, N. veitchii, dan N. clipeata.[7]

Taksonomi

N. hirsuta memiliki kedekatan taksonomi dengan N. hispida, N. macrovulgaris, dan N. philippinensis. Oleh dua peneliti Martin Cheek dan Matthew Jebb, keempat spesies ini disebut sebagai grup N. hirsuta Hooker f. (1873).[2][6]

Habitat

N. hirsuta adalah spesies endemik di Kalimantan; spesies ini dapat ditemukan di bagian barat dan utara Pulau Kalimantan (Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Brunei), tetapi tidak ditemukan di bagian selatan pulau. Ketinggian dari habitatnya berkisar antara 100 mdpl - 1.500 mdpl. Habitatnya mencakup hutan pinggir sungai atau sub-pinggir sungai, pinggir hutan, daerah semak, padang rumput, dan lahan basah. Cakupan wilayah habitatnya luas, tetapi terpisah-pisah.[1][3]
