Menara keagungan adalah sebuah menara dengan kontruksi dari baja yang terletak Kota Limboto, Kabupaten Gorontalo, Provinsi Gorontalo. Indonesia. Menara dengan ketinggian 65 yang meter yang menyerupai Menara Eiffel ini menjadi salah satu simbol kota Limboto dan menjadi salah satu tujuan wisata populer di Gorontalo.[2][3][4]

Sejarah

Menara Keagungan dibangun tahun 2002 dengan pelaksana pembangunan PT. Gunung Garuda Indonesia dan PD. Pedago menghabiskan anggaran 8,6 Miliar. Nama Menara Keagungan ditetapkan dengan SK Bupati Gorontalo Nomor 717 tahun 2003 tanggal 18 September 2003. Tanggal 20 September 2003 menara ini diresmikan oleh Wakil Presiden Indonesia saat itu, Dr. H. Hamzah Haz, M.A., Ph.D.[1]

Konstruksi

Menara Keagungan terdiri dari 5 lantai dengan rincian sebagai berikut:

  1. Lantai 1 seluas 446,56 m2 dengan ketinggian 10 meter bisa menampung 200 orang.
  2. Lantai 2 seluas 352 m2, tinggi 14 meter bisa menampung hingga 120 orang. Di lantai ini terdapat restoran dan tempat bersantai.
  3. Lantai 3 seluas 157,3 m2, tinggi 30 meter, bisa menampung 40 orang dan sebagai tempat penjualan cendera mata khas Gorontalo.
  4. Lantai 4 seluas 96,96 m2, tinggi 39 meter bisa menampung 10 orang pengunjung.
  5. Lantai 5 seluas 31,36 m2, tinggi 58 meter bisa menampung 10 orang pengunjung. Puncak menara setinggi 65 yang merupakan titik tertinggi dengan bentuk kubah.

Untuk menaiki menara ini bisa dilalui dengan 2 cara, yaitu dengan menaiki anak tangga dan bisajuga dengan lift. Lift hanya sampai di lantai 3. Untuk naik ke lantai 4 dan 5 harus menaiki anak tangga.
