Leyangan adalah merupakan sebuah desa di kecamatan Ungaran Timur, Semarang, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia.

Sejarah

Berbicara tentang sejarah desa Leyangan maka nama Nyai Melati yang disebut sebut sebagai cikal bakal desa Leyangan Ungaran timur. Beliau adalah pelarian dari selatan dimasa penjajahan belanda yang bersembunyi dihutan,lama kelamaan tempat mereka bersembunyi semakin banyak dan menjadi perkampungan.

Peran serta tokoh tokoh desa pada masa itu seperti : Nyai Melati,Kyai kopeng,Nyai Glendeng,Simbah Cokro,Demang Surodiponyo,serta Mbah Mahesa tatit menjadikan desa Leyangan makin ramai. Karena jasa Mbah Mahesa Tatit kepada keraton jogjakarta maka perkampungan tersebut dijadikan hadiah kepada Mbah Mahesa Tatit.


Menurut sejarah para sesepuh desa,nama Leyangan berasal dari kata “ngleyang” yang artinya terbang/melayang.pada jaman dulu ada sebuah kain seperti selendang yang terbang melayang layang di atas perkampungan maka diberi nama Leyangan,

Terdapat 4 dusun di Desa Leyangan, yaitu :

  1. Dusun Krajan.
  2. Dusun Lengkong.
  3. Dusun Kalikopeng, dan
  4. Dusun Jetis.
