Kerajaan Salwa

Kerajaan Salwa merupakan salah satu Kerajaan India Kuno yang berada di wilayah Barat dan muncul dalam kisah epik Mahābhārata. Kerajaan tersebut dekat dengan kerajaan Madra, seperti yang sering diuraikan dalam sastra. Ibu kotanya bernama Saubha. Martikawati (alias Matika, Matrika, Matrikawati) juga muncul sebagai ibu kota Kerajaan Salwa. Pangeran Satyawan yang terkenal berasal dari sana. Ia menikahi puteri Madra, Sawitri, anak Raja Aswapati dari Madra. Sejarahnya diuraikan dalam kitab Mahābhārata.
