Kejuaraan Nasional PSSI 1951

Kejurnas PSSI 1951 adalah kejuaraan nasional yang pertama kali diadakan oleh PSSI sebagai pelaksanaan Kongres (PSSI) di Semarang, pada 2 - 4 September 1950. Kejuaraan ini diselenggarakan dari tanggal 27 November s.d. 2 Desember 1951.

Peserta yang berhak mengikuti Kejurnas PSSI edisi perdana (pascakemerdekaan Republik Indonesia) itu ialah semua perserikatan (bond) sepak bola yang pada 1 April 1951 telah menjadi anggota PSSI.

Kejurnas PSSI 1951 diselenggarakan dalam dua babak, yaitu kompetisi tingkat distrik dan kompetisi tingkat nasional. Kompetisi tingkat distrik terdiri dari enam distrik, yaitu Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Sumatra, Kalimantan, dan Indonesia Timur.

Karena wakil Sumatra (Medan) dan wakil Kalimantan (Banjarmasin) tidak jadi ikut serta, kompetisi tingkat nasional hanya diikuti 4 tim, yaitu Persija Jakarta (juara Jawa Barat), PSIM Yogyakarta (juara Jawa Tengah), Persibaya Surabaya (juara Jawa Timur), dan PSM Makassar (juara Indonesia Timur).

Pada tahun 1951 dan 1952, Persebaya (Persatuan Sepak bola Surabaya) masih menggunakan nama Persibaya (Persatuan Sepak bola Indonesia Surabaya).[1]
