Ian Pringle (sutradara)

Ian Pringle adalah seorang sutradara, produser dan penulis naskah Australia.[1][2]

Karier

Pringle menulis dan menyutradarai film fitur Australia, Wrong World, yang dinominasikan untuk Golden Bear di Festival Film Internasional Berlin ke-35 pada 1985.[3]

Film buatannya The Prisoner of St. Petersburg ditayangkan dalam sesi Un Certain Regard di Festival Film Cannes 1989.[4]

Film fitur pertama Pringle adalah The Plains of Heaven pada 1992. Pada 1991, ia menyutradarai kerjasama produksi Prancis-Australia Isabelle Eberhardt, yang dibintangi oleh Peter O'Toole dan Mathilda May.[5] Karya film lainnyua meliputi kerjasama produksi drama neo-Nazi kontroversial Romper Stomper.

Pada 2012, Pringle melanjutkan berkarya sebagai konsultan naskah, penceramah dan penulis.[6] Sejak 22 tahun absen, ia kembali menulis dan menyutradarai film fitur Australia 2014 "The Legend Maker", yang tayang perdana di Festival Film Internasional Melbourne 2014.[7]
