Hebert von Karajan

Herbert von Karajan (lahir, 5 April 1908, di Salzburg, Austria - meninggal, 16 Juli 1989 di umur yang ke-81) adalah seorang konduktor Austria [1] menjadi konduktor utama di Berlin Philharmonic selama 35 tahun dan juga merupakan seseorang yang dikenal sebagai musisi musik orkestra terbesar. Pada tahun 1950-an kesehatan Karajan mulai menurun dan memaksanya untuk pensiun pada tahun 1989.[2] Herbert tercatat sebagai seorang yang menggunakan penekanan musiknya pada kesempurnaan suara dengan mengekspresikan catatan-catatan sempurna belaka yaitu keindahan murni.[2] Hebert von Karajan juga terkenal mempunyai obsesi yang tidak ada bandingnya dengan pemusik orkestra lainnya.[2] Hebert mulai belajar piano dari usianya masih tergolong muda.[2] Kemudian guru Bernhard Paumgartner mengetahui semangat dan minat dari Hebert yang energik, akhirnya gurunya ini mendorong Hebert untuk belajar menjadi seorang konduktor.[2] Setelah Hebert melanjutkan studi pianonya ini, ia bekerja untuk musisi terkenal Josef Hofmann. Selain belajar piano Hebert juga menempuh studinya di University of Vienna mengambil jurusan Filsafat.[2]
