Guadalupium

Guadalupium adalah kala kedua dari periode Perem, yang dimulai pada 273 juta tahun lalu, hingga 259.5 juta tahun lalu. Periode ini ditentukan dengan kronostratigrafi, dan sudah memiliki GSSP (Global Boundary Stratotype Sections and Points).[1]

Peristiwa

Therapsida menjadi hewan dominan di daratan, menggantikan peycosauria. Mereka berevolusi dari grup pelycosauria yaitu sphenacodonta.[2][3] Iklim pada saat ini menyerupai iklim pada Asia Tengah masa kini, yaitu musim panas yang sangat panas, dan musim dingin yang sangat dingin. Area pesisir memiliki iklim tropis, dan mempunyai siklus monsoon.[4]
