George Sabra (bahasa Arab: جورج صبرة, lahir 11 Juli 1947) adalah presiden terpilih Dewan Nasional Suriah, kelompok oposisi utama di Suriah, pada bulan November 2012 dan kemudian menjadi presiden sementara Koalisi Nasional Suriah pada tanggal 22 April 2013.[1] Sabra merupakan anggota Partai Demokrat Rakyat Suriah. Dia adalah orang Kristen.[2]

Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan

Terlahir dari keluarga Kristen di kota Qatana, Kegubernuran Rif Dimashq.[3] Sabra belajar pendidikan geografi di Universitas Damaskus pada tahun 1971 dan belajar sistem pendidikan teknologi di Univeritas Indiana pada tahun 1978.[4] Dia kemudian menjadi guru geografi, sebagai seorang juru ketik. Dia adalah salah satu dari penulis Iftah Ya Simsim, acara anak-anak Sesame Street versi Arab.[5]
