Edison Sitorus (politikus)

Edison Sitorus (lahir 12 November 1974) adalah seorang politikus Indonesia. Ia tergabung dalam Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN). Pada pemilihan umum legislatif Indonesia 2024, ia maju pada daerah pemilihan Banten II, meraih 113.815 suara dan diangkat menjadi anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia 2024–2029.[1]

Riwayat Hidup[2]

Edison merupakan lulusan S1 Teknik Mesin dari Universitas Pasundan Bandung (UNPAS) pada tahun 1999.

Dalam kariernya, beliau menjabat sebagai Ketua Umum Ikatan Batak Muslim (Ikamabus) Banten selama dua periode dengan masa jabatan dari 2018-2021 dan 2022-2025 dan juga seorang pengusaha sukses dengan skala Nasional.

Karir Politik

Pada tahun 2019 Edison terjun ke dalam dunia perpolitikan dengan mengikuti kontestasi calon legislatif DPRD Kota Cilegon Dapil Ciwandan-Citangkil diusung oleh Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN). Berkat dukungan dari masyarakat, Edison, berhasil dilantik menjadi anggota DPRD Kota Cilegon dengan suara sebanyak 12831 suara.

Di dalam Pemilihan umum legislatif 2024, Edison Sitorus memutuskan untuk maju sebagai calon anggota DPR RI Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) Dapil Banten II (Cilegon, Serang, Kabupaten Serang.

Berdasarkan informasi dari data internal tim pemenangan, Edison Sitorus masuk ke dalam tiga besar suara terbanyak dengan perolehan suara 113.780. Ia menduduki posisi ketiga di Dapil Banten II dengan urutan Furtasan Ali Yusuf dari kader Nasdem dengan perolehan suara 144.975 kemudian disusul oleh Annisa M.A Mahesa dari kader Gerindra dengan perolehan suara sebanyak 121.314.[2]
