Donald Sihombing

Donald Sihombing adalah seorang pengusaha berlatar belakang Batak yang berasal dari Sumatera Utara, Indonesia. Ia lahir di Medan pada tanggal 23 Juli 1956.[1] Ayah Donald Sihombing berprofesi sebagai pegawai negeri sipil, sementara ibunya adalah ibu rumah tangga.[2] Setelah lulus SMA, Donald melanjutkan pendidikan ke Universitas Columbia untuk mempelajari ilmu politik, tetapi tidak sampai lulus. Ia lalu melanjutkan pendidikan di Universitas Akron Ohio untuk mempelajari teknik sipil pada tahun 1984.[1] Donald kemudian bekerja di Shimizu Corporation Indonesia pada tahun 1985-1986, PT Balfour Beatty Sakti pada tahun 1986-1990, dan PT Total Bangun Persada Tbk pada tahun 1990-1995.[3] Donald lalu mendirikan PT Totalindo Eka Persada [1] dan masuk dalam daftar 21 orang terkaya di Indonesia versi Majalah Forbes di tahun 2019 pada posisi ke-14 dengan total kekayaan $970 milyar.[4][5]
