Brian Griffin adalah karakter fiksi dari serial televisi animasi Amerika Serikat, Family Guy. Pengisi suaranya adalah Seth MacFarlane. Brian merupakan salah satu tokoh utama Family Guy dari keluarga Griffin. Ia adalah seekor anjing putih antropomorfik yang berupaya untuk menjadi penulis novel, esai, drama dan koran, tetapi gagal mencapai mimpinya.

Ia pertama kali muncul dalam televisi dalam episode singkat sepanjang 15 menit pada 20 Desember 1998. Brian diciptakan dan dirancang oleh MacFarlane sendiri. Sebelumnya MacFarlane diminta untuk membuat sebuah episode untuk Fox Broadcasting Company yang didasarkan pada The Life of Larry dan Larry & Steve, dua acara pendek karya MacFarlane yang mengisahkan seorang laki-laki bernama Larry dengan anjingnya yang intelektual, Steve. Setelah episode baru yang dibuat MacFarlane diberi lampu hijau, keluarga Griffin tampil dalam episode "Death Has a Shadow". Brian merupakan hasil rancangan ulang karakter Steve dari acara sebelumnya.

Brian telah menjadi salah satu ikon acara ini. Ia juga pernah muncul secara singkat dalam acara-acara lain yang diproduksi oleh MacFarlane, seperti American Dad! dan The Cleveland Show.

Tokoh Brian telah diterima dengan baik oleh kritikus dan fans. Saat tokoh Brian meninggal dalam episode "Life of Brian" pada musim ke-12, fans acara Family Guy bereaksi negatif. Brian kemudian muncul kembali dalam episode "Christmas Guy" setelah Stewie menggunakan mesin waktu untuk menyelamatkannya.[1][2]
