Bahá'í World Centre

Bahá'í World Centre atau Pusat Bahá'í Sedunia adalah pusat administratif dan spiritual agama Bahá'í.[1] Balai Keadilan Sedunia yang merupakan lembaga yang bertindak sebagai kepala dan otoritas tertinggi agama Bahá'í berkedudukan di tempat ini.[2] Pusat Bahá'í ini meliputi Kuil Bahá'u'lláh dekat Akko, Kuil Sang Báb dan teras Bahá'í di pelataran Gunung Karmel serta berbagai bangunan atau properti milik Bahá'í lainnya di sekitar Haifa.[1]

Pusat Bahá'í memiliki sejarah yang panjang sejak zaman Turki Usmani yang waktu itu menguasai wilayah yang sekarang menjadi bagian dari Israel[3] Hal ini berkenaan dengan serangkaian pengasingan terhadap Bahá'u'lláh beserta pengikut dan keluarganya, baik oleh Persia maupun Turki Usmani. Pengasingan tersebut dimulai dengan pengasingan ke Baghdad dan berakhir di Akko. Di Akko pula Bahá'u'lláh menuliskan Kitáb-i-Aqdas dan menghabiskan sisa hidupnya.[4] Banyak tempat yang merupakan bagian dari Pusat Bahá'í, termasuk Teras Bahá'í dan Kuil Sang Báb di Bukit Karmel, diakui sebagai Situs Warisan Dunia UNESCO pada Juli 2008.[5][6]
