Api Suci (Bahasa Yunani Ἃγιον Φῶς, "Sinar Suci") dideskripsikan oleh umat Kristen Ortodoks sebagai sebuah mukjizat yang terjadi setiap tahun di Gereja Makam Kudus, Yerusalem, pada Sabtu Agung, atau Sabtu Suci, sehari sebelum Paskah Kristen Ortodoks.

Deskripsi dalam iman Ortodoks

Tradisi Ortodoks menyatakan bahwa Api Suci terjadi setiap tahun pada sehari sebelum Paskah Ortodoks, di mana sinar biru menyala di makam Yesus Kristus (biasanya timbul dari selipan marmer yang menutupi batu yang diyakini merupakan tempat di mana jasad Yesus ditempatkan untuk pengkebumian) sekarang di Makam Kudus, yang kemudian membentuk sebuah kolom yang terdiri dari sebuah bentuk api, di mana lilin-lilin menyala, yang kemudian dipakai untuk menerangi lilin-lilin rohaniwan dan para peziarah yang hadir. Api tersebut juga dikatakan secara spontan menerangi penerangan-penerangan lain dan lilin-lilin di sekitaran gereja.[1][2] Para peziarah dan rohaniwan mengklaim bahwa Api Suci tak membakar mereka.[3][4]
