Amy Anderson (lahir 1 September 1972) adalah seorang komedian, aktor, dan penulis Amerika. Ia lahir di Seoul, Korea Selatan dan diadopsi, sebagai bayi, oleh orang tua Amerika dan dibesarkan di pinggiran kota Minnesota.[1][2][3][4]

Seorang musisi klasik terlatih, dia telah menyanyi dan bermain piano dan gitar selama bertahun-tahun, mendapatkan gelar sarjana di Pendidikan Musik dari Westminster Choir College. Setelah menyelesaikan kuliah, karirnya mengambil arah yang berbeda, dengan Anderson bekerja di berbagai posisi – termasuk mengawasi kedai kopi, bekerja dengan orang dewasa dengan autisme, dan memiliki bisnis perawatan hewan peliharaan.[2] Akhirnya dia memilih untuk pindah ke komedi dan akting, dan tampil di serial Fresh Ink di Illusion Theater dan tempat-tempat lain.[5] Dia saat ini tinggal di California Selatan, di mana dia bekerja sebagai aktor dan komedian.[2][3]

Banyak lelucon Anderson berhubungan dengan peran sebagai ibu, rasisme, dan adopsi.[6] Dia memproduseri acara bulanan "ChopSchtick Comedy" di Hollywood Laugh Factory dan Hollywood Improv,[7] the first ever all-Asian American stand-up comedy showcase in the US.[8]

Kehidupan pribadi

Anderson adalah ibu dari aktor cilik Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, yang berperan sebagai Lily Tucker-Pritchett di Modern Family ABC. Amy memiliki saluran YouTube dengan putri Aubrey bernama FoodManiaReview.[9][10]
