Santo Alypius dari Thagaste adalah uskup takhta Tagaste (sekarang Aljazair) pada 394. Ia juga dikenal karena membangun monsteri pertama di Afrika. Ia adalah teman masa hidup Santo Agustinus dari Hippo dan bergabung dengannya dalam pertobatannya (pada 386; Pengakuan Iman 8.12.28) dan hidup dalam Kekristenan. Sebagian besar informasi yang diketahui tentangnya berasal dari autobiografi Agustinus Pengakuan Iman.
