All-America

The All-America adalah tim olahraga hipotetis Amerika Serikat. Tim ini terdiri dari para pemain amatir yang luar biasa. Para pemain terpilih ini dianggap sebegai pemain terbaik dalam olahraga tertentu. Pada tingkat perguruan tinggi dan sekolah menengah, tim ini tidak memainkan pertandingan apapun sebagai tim.

Perguruan tinggi

Tim All-America dipilih setiap tahun di berbagai cabang olahraga, termasuk panahan, baseball, bola basket, cross country running, fencing, sepak bola, golf, gymnastik, hoki es, lacrosse, mendayung, rugby, sepak bola Amerika, berenang, tenis, bola voli, dan gulat.[1][1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Sekolah menengah

Di tingkat sekolah menengah, tim All-America yang terkenal dipilih oleh majalah Parade dalam sepakbola. Tim ini mulai dipilih dari 1957 hingga 2015 untuk bola basket.[8] Restoran McDonald's juga memilih pemain terbaik untuk Game All-American McDonald's di olahraga bola basket.[9] Asosiasi Pelatih Sekolah Menengah Nasional juga menghormati atlet terbaik Amerika Serikat setiap tahun, sebagai "High School Academic All-Americans."[10]
