職業生涯

莎蒂出生於德克薩斯州布倫納姆，有3個哥哥及1個妹妹。

在她7歲的時候，她與她哥哥Mitchell因為好玩而重新演繹迪士尼歌舞青春的橋段，她媽媽看到後，打算送她去休斯頓社區劇院開設的演藝教室學習。這讓她2012年（11歲時）於百老匯劇院面試時拿到《安妮（英语：Annie (musical)）》其中的一角，並參加了舞蹈及聲音訓練以做好準備。她原本是後備演員，直到原本的主演離開後，才開始交替演出這個角色好幾個月，然後以Duffy及安妮的替補身份結束演出。

在劇場表演期間，她也於艾美獎获獎影集《冷戰諜夢》中演出。

2015年時，她與海倫·米蘭於百老匯劇院共同主演《女王召見（英语：The Audience (2013 play)）》，在劇中飾演年輕的伊莉莎白二世。她也於《查克（英语：Chuck (film)）》中飾演一個小角色。

當拍攝《玻璃城堡》時，她與伍迪·哈里遜成為好朋友，尤其是他的女兒—Makani。[5]
