韦秀

韦秀（？—740年4月29日），京兆郡杜陵县（今陕西省西安市长安区）人，出自京兆韦氏彭城公房，唐玄宗李隆基的妃子[1]。

生平

韦秀在开元六年正月廿七日（718年3月3日）被聘为唐玄宗的妃子，开元廿八年三月廿九日（740年4月29日）遭遇疾病在后宫去世，三月三十日（740年4月30日）棺柩迁到兴宁里的官舍，唐玄宗敕令京兆尹李慎名监护丧事。四月十六日（740年5月16日），韦秀葬于京兆府万年县细柳原，谥号顺，五月景戌朔十一日景申（740年6月9日）立下墓志[1]。

郭海文和赵文朵指出墓志没有介绍韦秀的妃号，说明韦秀的品级一定不很高；唐玄宗是韦秀的表舅，两人是异辈婚，韦秀没有生下儿女，主要是不得宠，两人的婚姻是政治策略，韦秀又无姿色，加上赵丽妃、武惠妃、杨贵妃三个女人唱主角，是轮不到谨谦自守的韦秀发音的[2]。
