本草中華以不同分集探討了本草的制法技巧，食療并用，调理滋养、奇药轶事、驻颜有术、制法技巧等6个方面。以神奇的中华本草为切入点，带领观众走进神秘而充满生命力的中药世界，感知早已融入中国人生活、生存和生息的中医药文化。[3]
