Ödül

Ödül; bir ya da birden fazla kişiye, onların belirli bir alandaki yetkinliklerine karşılık verilen armağandır. Genellikle kupa, başarı belgesi, sertifika, diploma, hatıra plaketi, madalya, nişan, ödül rozeti, rozet ya da kurdele biçiminde sunulur. Kazanan kişiye belirli oranda para sağlayan ödüller de bulunmaktadır. Ödüle ayrıca bir fahri unvan ve burs gibi doğrudan nakit değeri olan bir nesne de eşlik edebilir. Bir ödülün saygınlığı genellikle ödülü veren kuruluşun mevcut durumuyla doğru orantılıdır.

Ödül, insan zihninde öforiye neden olabilir.[1]
