Zunbiller

Zunbiller, aynı zamanda Zhunbil veya Zabulistan'ın Rutbilleri,[1] günümüzün güney Afganistan bölgesinde Hindukuş'un güneyinde bir kraliyet hanedanıydı. MS 680'den MS 870'deki Saffarid fetihlerine kadar hüküm sürdüler.[1][2] Zunbil hanedanı, Ak Hun İmparatorluğu'nu Kâbil'deki başkentinden yöneten Türk Şahi hükümdarının (Barha Tegin veya Tegin Şah) ağabeyi Rutbil (Türkçe: İlteber) tarafından kuruldu.[1][3][4][5][6][7] Tarikh al-Tabari ve Tarikh-i Sistan gibi Arap kaynaklar Zunbillerin hizmetlerinde Türk birliklerinin bulunduğunu belirtmektedir.[8]

İki yüzyıldan fazla süren yönetimleri boyunca Toharistan Yabguluğu, ardından Türk Şahiler ve Zunbiller, Müslüman kuvvetlerinin doğuya doğru genişlemesinin önünde sürekli bir engel oluşturdular.
