Wellington Regional Stadium veya sponsorluk anlaşması gereği Sky Stadium, Yeni Zelanda'nın başkenti Wellington'da bulunan bir çok amaçlı stadyumdur. Stadyum, 3 Ocak 2000 tarihinde açılmış olup 34.500 kişi kapasiteye sahiptir[1] ve Super Rugby takımlarından Hurricanes, National Provincial Championship takımlarından Wellington Lions, A-League takımlarından Wellington Phoenix ve Super Smash takımlarından Wellington Firebirds'ün ana stadyumudur.

Tarihçe

Stadyum, 1999 yılında Fletcher Construction tarafından inşa edildi ve Yeni Zelanda'da inşa edilen ilk bowl stadyumuydu. Konumu ve bakımsız durumu nedeniyle artık uluslararası etkinlikler için yeterli görülmeyen Athletic Park'ın yerine inşa edildi. Stadyum ayrıca, Basin Reserve sahasının bu tür maçları ülkenin diğer bölgelerindeki daha büyük stadyumlara kaptırması nedeniyle One Day International kriket maçları için daha büyük kapasiteli bir mekan sağlamak üzere inşa edildi.[2]

Stadyum, 2002 yılına kadar WestpacTrust Stadium ve 2019 yılına kadar Westpac Stadium adıyla bilinmekteydi.
