Uygun adım

Çin'de Şeref Muhafızları bir törende uygun adım yürürken.

Uygun adım yürüme ve koşma, askerlerin veya askerî düzendeki bir grubun aynı ritmde, ileri hareket etmesi. Yaygın askerî gelenek'lerden biridir ve askerî adım olarak da bilinir. Askerî tören, geçit töreni, askerî emir, askerî komut zamanı veya günlük olarak yapılır. Özellikle kısa mesafeli yürüyüşlerde ve törenlerde tüm şahısların aynı anda, aynı adımı atması beklenir. Uygun adım esnasında şunlara dikkat edilir:

  • Mesafe - Öndeki şahıs ile aradaki mesafe.
  • Aralık - Yandaki şahıs ile aradaki mesafe.
  • İstikamet - Öndeki şahıslar ile aynı hizada olma.
  • Hiza - Yandaki (aynı sıradaki) şahıslar ile aynı hizada olma.

Uygun adım yürüme komutu verilirken marş sözcüğü bir kez, koşma komutu verilirken iki kez tekrarlanır. Bu komut Türkçeye Fransızca "marche" sözcüğünden geçmiştir.[1]
