NGC 3184, Büyükayı takımyıldızı yönünde Dünya'dan yaklaşık 25 milyon ışıkyılı uzaklıkta bulunan bir çubuksuz sarmal gökada. NGC 3180 ve NGC 3181 adında iki H II bölgesi vardır. İçeriğindeki ağır elementler ile dikkat çeken gökadada yakın geçmişte SN 1999gi adı verilen bir de süpernova yaşanmıştır. William Herschel tarafından 18 Mart 1787 tarihinde keşfedilmiştir.

9 Aralık 1999 yılında amatör gök bilimci Reiki Kushida tarafından SN 1999gi keşfedildi.[3]
