Mehcer edebiyatı

Mehcer edebiyatı (Arapça: أدب المهجر), Lübnan, Suriye ve Filistin'den Amerika'ya göç eden Arap yazar ve şairlerin meydana getirdiği edebi bir akımdır. Cubran Halil Cubran, Mihail Nuayme ve Emin er-Reyhani, mehcer edebiyatının önemli simalarındandır.

Modern Arap Edebiyatında Göç

Arap göç edebiyatında en yaygın şekilde işlenen temalar, genellikle özlem, elem, tefekkür, özgürlük, müsamaha, doğa ve insan sevgisi şeklindedir. Modern Arap edebiyatında göç temasını işleyenler genellikle göçmenlerin kendileridir. Bu durum klasik Arap edebiyatından farklılık arz etmektedir. Çünkü klasik Arap edebiyatında göç temasına değinenler, çoğu zaman geride kalan insanlardır. Modern Arap edebiyatındaki göçler, genellikle savaşlar, ekonomik zorluklar, baskılar ve işsizlik nedeniyle gerçekleşmektedir.[1]
