Melikşah bin Mahmud[3] (y. 1128 – 25 Mart 1160 [3] [4] [5]) III. Melikşah olarak bilinir, 1152-53 arasında hüküm süren Büyük Selçuklu Sultanıdır. II. Mahmud'un oğludur. 1153'te tahttan indirildi ve yerine kardeşi Muhammed geçti. 1160 yılında Melikşah öldükten sonra oğlu Mahmud, Selçuklu tahtına rakip olarak kullanılmak amacıyla Salgurlular tarafından İstahr'da tutuldu.[6]

Melikşah 10 Ekim 1152'de tahta çıktı.[4] [3] Aralık 1152 - Ocak 1153'te, zevke dalması ve devlet işlerini umursamaması nedeniyle, Hasan liderliğindeki emirler ona karşı ayaklandılar. Tutuklanıp Hemedan kulesine hapsedildi. Sadece birkaç aylık hükümdarlığın ardından, kardeşi Muhammed Şah, Nisan 1153'te[3] tahtı devraldı.[4]

25 Mart 1160'ta otuz iki yaşında İsfahan'da zehirlenerek öldürüldü.[3][4]
