Guido di Montanor

Guido di Montanor, 15. yüzyılda yaşamış Yunan veya Fransız bir simyacıdır.

Adı, bazen Montaner veya Montaynor olarak anıldığı için değişken olarak verilir. Uyruğu Yunan ve Fransız olduğu düşünülmekle beraber belirsizdir. George Ripley ve Ramon Llull'un eserlerindeki referanslardan, çalışmaları 14. yüzyılın sonu ile 15. yüzyılın başına tarihlenmektedir. Scala Philosophorum gibi çalışmalarına sonraki kaynaklarda alıntılarda ve alıntılarda atıfta bulunulmaktadır.[1][2]

Simya

Di Montanor, yalnızca iksir ve cıva simyasının takipçisiydi. Bir tarafta Ramon Llull ve Arnaldo ve diğer tarafta Taranto'dan Paolo'nun farklı çalışmalarını entegre etti. Başlıca eseri, "Filozofların Ölçeği" anlamına gelen "Scala philosophorum"dur. Bu çalışma, simya işlemleri için sistematik bir düzen ve yapı sunduğu bilinen ilk çalışmalardan biriydi.[3]
