Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, iOS ve Android platformları için Rockstar Leeds ve Rockstar North tarafından geliştirilmiş Grand Theft Auto serisinin 13. oyunudur.

Oyunun Nintendo DS sürümünde PDA, GPS, radyo, harita üzerinde kişiye erişim kontrolü dokunmatik ekran aracılığıyla sağlanmıştır. Islık komutuyla taksi çağırma DS mikrofon tarafından desteklenmektedir. PSP versiyonunda ise güncellenmiş grafikler mevcuttur. Serinin ilk oyunları ile benzer bir "klasik" (kuş bakışı) görünüm sunuyor. Mini oyunlar (örneğin dövme hazırlanması, araca düz kontak yaptırma. QTE gibi) dokunmatik ekran işlevselliğine adapte edilmiştir. PSP versiyonunda Nintendo DS sürümünde bulunmayan ilave görev ve radyo istasyonları bulunur. Ancak PSP'de çoklu oyuncu en fazla 2 oyuncuya kadar desteklenmiştir. Oyunun iOS versiyonunda dokunmatik ekranda kontroller, iPod kütüphane kullanan özel bir radyo istasyonu ve mini oyunlar gibi kapasitif dokunmatik ekran ile iyi çalışması için adapte edilmiş özellikler içerir. IOS versiyonu da, Nintendo DS ve Sony PSP'ye göre daha fazla müzik ve radyo istasyonu içerir. Hareket eden bir aracı çalmak önceki GTA oyunları ile benzer olup, park halindeki araçları için farklı bir sistem kullanılmaktadır. Bazı araçlar düz kontağa ihtiyaç duyarken, bazıları tornavida ve birkaç alet ile kolayca çalınabiliyor. Daha yeni, daha pahalı arabalar için ise oyuncunun, bilgisayar ile immobilizer "hack" kullanması gerekiyor. Araçtan ateş etmek ise yine mümkündür. Oyuncunun Nintendo Wi-Fi bağlantısı üzerinden kullanılabildiği bazı özellikler şunlardır; ticaret öğeleri, favori GPS istatistikleri ve benzeri şeyleri diğer oyuncular ile paylaşabilme. Ayrıca Social Club sayesinde, yeni görev yüklemek de mümkündür.
