Franco Columbu

Francesco Columbu (7 Ağustos 1941 – 30 Ağustos 2019), İtalyan vücut geliştirme sporcusu, yazar, oyuncu ve halterci.[1][2]

Yaşamı ve kariyeri

Ülkesi İtalya adına "Dünya'nın En Güçlü Adamı" vücut geliştirme yarışmasında temsil etti.[1] Columbu 7 Ağustos 1941'de Ollolai, Sardinya Adası'da doğdu. 1980'lerin ses getirmiş olan iki filmi; 1982 yapımı aksiyon-gizem-tarihi türdeki Conan the Barbarian ve aksiyon-bilimkurgu türünde 1984 yapımı The Terminator 'de rol aldı. 1976 ve 1981'de "Mr. Olympia Vücut Geliştirme Yarışması" (Bay Olympia)'da birinci seçilerek şampiyon oldu.[3]

Ölümü

Columbu 1970'lerden beri Los Angeles'ta yaşıyordu. Ağustos ayının sonuna doğru Sardunya'ya gitti. İtalyan vücut geliştirme sporcusu, yazar, oyuncu ve halterci Franco Columbu 30 Ağustos 2019'da İtalya'da, Sardinya Adası'daki San Teodoro'da yüzerken kalp krizi geçirirken boğuldu ve daha sonra helikopterle Olbia'daki hastaneye nakledilirken 78 yaşında öldü.[4] 3 Eylül'de doğum yeri Ollolai'de bir cenaze töreni düzenlendi. 6 Ekim 2019'da Los Angeles'ta bir anma töreni daha düzenlendi.
