Entelijansiya

Entelijansiya[1][2] (Latince: Intelligentia, Rusça: интеллигенция), "aydınlar topluluğu" anlamına gelen terim. Genellikle kültürel ve siyasal etkinliğe sahip entelektüel topluluk anlamında kullanılır.[3] Rusça kökenli bir terim olan entelijansiya, sosyal bilimciler tarafından Rusya'da, özellikle 19. yüzyılda ayrı bir sınıf veya sosyal tabaka olarak aydınlar topluluğunu tanımlamakta kullanılmıştır.

Entelijansiya sınıfı, 18. yüzyılın sonlarında Polonya'nın parçalanması sırasında ortaya çıktı. Bu dönemde Polonyalı entelektüel Bronisław Trentowski, vatansever burjuvazinin üniversite eğitimli ve profesyonel olarak aktif sosyal katmanını tanımlamak için inteligencja terimini ilk kez kullandı.[4]
