Claudio Scimone

Claudio Scimone (d. 23 Aralık 1934 – ö. 6 Eylül 2018), İtalyan orkestra şefidir.

Padua'da doğdu, Dmitri Mitropoulos ve Franco Ferrara ile birlikte çalıştı.[1] Besteci kimliğiyle önde bir sanatçı olarak uluslararası üne kavuşmuştur. Birçok barok ve rönesans müzik eserini yeniden yapılandırmıştır. Diskografisinde 150'den fazla eseri olup “Académie Charles Cros'un L'Académie Charles Cros'u” gibi sayısız ödül sahibidir.[2]

Claudio Scimone, "Soloisti Veneti" ismiyle Lizbon, Portekiz'de Gülbenkian Orkestra'sını kurmuştur.[3]

Londra Filarmoni Orkestrası ile, Muzio Clementi'nin Senfoni'lerinin ilk kayıtlarını yapmıştır.[4][5]

Scimone, Marilyn Horne ve Victoria de Los Angeles'ın yer aldığı Antonio Vivaldi'nin “Orlando furioso” adlı ilk modern performans tiyatro eserind katkı vermiştir.[4]

Claudio Scimone ayrıca La Fenice'de sahnelenen Gioachino Rossini'nin Maometto secondo adlı eserinin Venedik versiyonunun ilk modern canlandırmasınıda yönetmiştir.[6]

Ayrıca, Rossini'nin modern prömiyer çalışmaları Moses in Egypt ve Oedipus at Colonus ile Antonio Salieri'nin The Last Judgement adlı müzikal eserlerini yönetmiştir.

Claudio Scimone, İtalyan Cumhuriyeti'nin (en yüksek payesi olan) Onur Derecesi'ne çıkarılarak "Şövalyelik Büyük Haç Nişanı" ile ödüllendirilmiştir. Ayrıca Padua Üniversitesi'nden fahri hukuk diploması alan İtalyan orkestra şefi Claudio Scimone 6 Eylül 2018'de 83 yaşında ölmüştür. .[4]
