Basel Abdülaziz (Arapça: باسل عبد العزيز; d. 1984), Suriyeli politikacı ve mühendistir. 10 Aralık 2024'ten bu yana Suriye Geçiş Hükümeti'nde Ekonomi ve Dış Ticaret Bakanı olarak görev yapmaktadır. Daha önce Suriye Kurtuluş Hükümeti'nde Ekonomi ve Kaynaklar Bakanı olarak görev yapmıştır.[1]

Eğitim ve Kariyer

Abdülaziz, 2009 yılında Halep Üniversitesi'nden Enerji Mühendisliği lisans derecesi ile mezun oldu. Ek olarak, ekonomik fizibilite çalışmaları, stratejik planlama ve insan kaynakları yönetimi alanlarında ileri düzey kurslar tamamlamıştır. Suriye iç savaşı öncesinde, Halep Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği Fakültesi'nde öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmış ve Halep'teki Şeyh Neccar sanayi bölgesinde mühendislik sektöründe görev almıştır.[2]

Suriye iç savaşı sırasında, muhalefet kontrolündeki bölgelerde sanayi faaliyetlerini yönetti ve nakit yönetimi de dahil olmak üzere çeşitli ekonomik sektörlerde çalıştı. Bu deneyimleri, onu Suriye Kurtuluş Hükümeti'nin üçüncü, dördüncü ve beşinci dönemlerinde Ekonomi ve Kaynaklar Bakanı olarak atanmasına yol açtı.[2]

Geçiş Hükümeti Dönemi

Aralık 2024'te, Esad rejiminin düşüşünün ardından ve Kurtuluş Hükümeti bakanlarının Mart 2025'e kadar geçiş hükümetinde aynı görevlerde bulunacakları kararıyla birlikte, Abdülaziz, Başbakan Muhammed el-Beşir liderliğindeki Suriye Geçiş Hükümeti'nde Ekonomi ve Dış Ticaret Bakanı olarak görev yapmaya başladı. Yeni rolünde, mevcut ithalat-ihracat kontrol sistemini kaldırarak serbest piyasa ekonomisine geçişi içeren piyasa liberalleşme reformlarını uygulamayı planladığını duyurdu. Şam Ticaret Odaları ile yaptığı bir toplantıda, ithalat üzerindeki kısıtlamaları kaldırma ve kayıtlı işletmelerin daha serbest ticaret yapmalarına olanak tanıma planlarını açıkladı.[3]
