Ang Plesiosaurus (Griyego: πλησιος / plesios, na malapit sa + σαυρος / sauros, butiki) ay isang genus ng patay, malaking pandagat sauropterygian reptile na nanirahan sa panahon ng unang bahagi ng Jurassic Period, at kilala sa halos kumpleto na mga kalansay mula sa Lias ng England. Kahit na ang mga hayop na ito ay kilala na wala na, bawat taon ay may isang mataas na bilang ng mga hindi nakumpirma modernong-araw na mga sightings iniulat ng (mga) nilalang na madalas na inilarawan upang maging katulad ng plesiosaur, tulad ng Halimaw ng Loch Ness. Ito ay maliwanag sa pamamagitan ng maliit na ulo nito, mahaba at payat na leeg, malawak na katawan na tulad ng pagong, maikling buntot, at dalawang pares ng mga malalaking, matagal na paddles.
