Ang Peshitta (Klasikong Siriako: ܦܫܝܛܬܐpšîṭtâ para sa "simple, karaniwan, tuwid, vulgata" na minsang tinatawag na Vulgatang Syriac ang pamantayang berisyon ng Bibliya na ginagamit ng mga simbahan ng Kristiyanismong Syriac. Ang Lumang Tipan ng Peshita ay isinalin sa wikang Syriac mula sa wikang Hebreo noong mga ika-2 siglo CE. Ang Bagong Tipan ay isinalin mula sa Griyego.[1] Ang kanon ng Bagong Tipan ng Peshitta na nabuo ng ika-5 siglo CE ay orihinal na naglalaman lamang ng 22 aklat(sa halip na 27 aklat ng kanon ng Bagong Tipan sa ibang denominasyon) at hindi naglalaman ng mga aklat na 2 Pedro, 2 Juan, 3 Juan, Sulat ni Judas at Aklat ng Pahayag at naging pamantayan noong ika-5 siglo. Ang limang mga hindi isinamang aklat na ito ay isinama sa bersiyong Harklean (616 CE) ni Thomas of Harqel.[2] Ang 22 aklat na kanon ng Bagong Tipan ay binanggit nina Juan Crisostomo at Thedoret. Sa kasalukuyan, ang mga opisyal na leksiyonaryong sinusunod ng Simbahang Malankara na nakabase sa Kottayam (India) gayundin sa Simbahang Kaldeong Syrian na kilala rin bilang Simbahan ng Silangan na nakabase sa Trichur (India) ay nagtatanghal ng mga aralin mula lamang sa 22 aklat ng kanon ng orihinal na Peshitta.
