Pinagmulan at paggamit

Higit na malamang na nagmula sa apelyidong Tsino ang pangalang ito.[4] Nguyễn ang salintitik na Biyetnames ng apelyidong Tsino na (阮), na karalasang naka-salintitik na Ruan sa Mandarin at Yuen sa Kantones.[5]
