Malawak na ginamit ang pamilya ng tipo ng titik na Microgramma Bold Extended sa sandaigdigan ng Star Trek tulad mg The Star Trek Star Fleet Technical Manual ni Franz Joseph.[1] Ginamit din ito sa NBC News sa kanilang mga grapiko mula 1990 hanggang 1992.[2]
